How your custom build works
Request your spot
Send the form below. There is no payment required to join the waitlist. I will confirm availability and your place by email.
Work out the details
When your turn arrives, we agree on the design, materials, price, and estimated completion. For a kitchen set, we also confirm the number and types of knives.
Pay half to start
A 50% deposit is due after you approve the order details, before I order special materials or begin the build. Design changes after approval must be discussed and may affect price or timing.
Finished, then shipped
I send finished photos and the final invoice. The remaining 50% is due within seven calendar days of the completion notice. Your order ships after payment is received in full.

What affects the price
Custom work is quoted individually. Blade design, steel, handle materials, finishes, engraving, and the size of a kitchen set all affect the price.
We agree on the price and order details before you pay a deposit. Sharing a budget helps me explain what is possible without wasting your time.
Before you request a spot
How many spots can I hold?
You may hold up to two spots at a time. One spot covers one custom knife or one kitchen set.
Your two spots can be two custom knives, two kitchen sets, or one of each. At least one spot must be completed and shipped before you request another.
What is included in a kitchen set?
The number, types, and sizes of knives are agreed on when we plan your order. A kitchen set is quoted as a complete project; submitting this form does not commit either of us to a particular set or price.
When do I pay?
Joining the waitlist is free. After we agree on your order details, a 50% deposit is required before special materials are ordered or work begins.
The remaining 50% is due within seven calendar days of the completion notice, before shipping.
Should I send my design ideas now?
A brief description of the intended use is enough for now. Please hold detailed drawings, material requests, and design discussions until your turn arrives.
How long will my build take?
Waitlist length, project complexity, and material availability affect timing. I will discuss an estimated completion window with you before you pay the deposit. Completion dates are estimates unless we agree otherwise in writing. We usually allow for 6-8 weeks average.
Can I change the design after approving it?
Please contact me before requesting a change. Changes are not always possible once materials have been ordered or work has started, and accepted changes may affect the price and completion estimate.
What if I need to cancel?
You can withdraw from the waitlist before approving an order and paying a deposit. Cancellation terms for a confirmed build will be provided with your order details before you pay.
If your circumstances change after that, contact me promptly so we can discuss the next steps.
Are custom books always open?
I open and close custom books as the shop allows. Sending a request does not automatically confirm a spot, price, or start date. I will confirm availability by email.
Can you build any design?
Not every request is a good fit for my work, equipment, or available materials. I will be straightforward about what I can build before we move ahead.
